Flight Formation — 14" x 20"

From a series of pattern work. The initial pattern was created for a custom lamp design. In looking at it I realized that as a heavier form with greater mass it was very interesting. So I manipulated the pattern into the feel of heavy steel. Then again gave it the feeling of flight and movement. By warping the images and providing shade and light I give the solid structure the feel of climbing and flight.
