Floating Steel — 12" x 20"

From a series of pattern work. The initial pattern was created for a custom lamp design. In looking at it I realized that as a heavier form with greater mass it was very interesting. So I manipulated the pattern into the feel of heavy steel. Again the relationship of mass and gravity is played with to create an elegant floating form. Heavy sculpture in free motion on paper.
