Nice Furniture — 18" x 22.5"

This is a strange compilation. One of the most joyous things about my design work doing lighting and interiors for entertainment. Is that people bring projects to me of an incredibly diverse nature. From image signage to period settings. A client came to me looking to create a unique strip club and asked me to present ideas on what I wanted to do. I think Kim Cattral is very beautiful. I had seen some very beautiful semi nude photos of her which inspired me to use her image a compilation of the shots I had seen. I had been working on this piece at the time. I also had a piece of stainless steel I had designed for a nightclub as decoration for a Deco furniture I had designed. I always felt it could be made into a beautiful coffee table. In thinking about what I liked in “Gentleman's clubs” and did not like. I wanted strong and sensual, elegant and different, and yet alluring. Instead of bringing the client sketches of what I wanted to do. I created “Nice Furniture” as a video image with changing colored squares in the background. I was the perfect representation of what I wanted to do. Unfortunately the client felt it was to upscale for his “dive bar” wants, and we did a dive bar. I enhanced the image because it was a great representation of “Nice Furniture.”
