Having a Wonderful Time — 17" x 10.5"

The work was originally created as a background image for a performance of “Once Upon A Mattress”. The Directors concept was to use POP-Art images as the background. One of the images supported a theme in the show. That the King would only regain his voice, when the mouse ate the hawk. To enhance this I decided to portray images of people and things that were alive to me as images of pop culture, as well as the mouse and hawk. After the show I decided to add to the work and cary it further. A dear friend Mr. Art D’Lugoff passed away. For his memorial I was given a picture of him that I thought captured his essence. He deserved to be in the picture. He was a major contributor to all the movements of culture that happened in his life time. I miss him.
